Sophie A. Southworth

Client Services

We feel incredibly grateful to have found Sophie. She is fast, simplifies complexity, and her attention to detail is matchless.

Sophie ensures that every client has a direct contact for anything he or she may need throughout all aspects of the deal, from proposal to closing. Her specific responsibilities include the creation of all client-related presentations and materials, information dissemination, maintaining all databases related to client deal activity and legal files, as well as closing activities, and special events.

Sophie spent several years in Charleston, Atlanta, and New York before moving to Portsmouth. She has spent most of her career in the Client Services field as well as the hospitality industry where her passion is providing “Client Delight” while finding ways to improve all aspects of collaboration, communication, and client experience. Prior to Bigelow, she was at Caudalie USA where she was a Sales & Education Manager.

Sophie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of Charleston in Art History and French.

  • What was your first job?

I was the “head elf” at a Christmas tree farm!

  • What is your greatest fear?

    Snakes and being underestimated.

  • Do you have any skills or talents that most people don't know about?

I speak French and take regular lessons to continue my education and practice.

  • What risk in your life are you happy that you took?

I have moved many times, mostly always spontaneously or without planning far in advance. Each move brought me to places where I knew no one and as a result I am lucky enough to have created communities and found the feeling of “home” in many places independently.
