The fifteenth Annual Bigelow Forum focused on the theme of maximizing positive life experiences.
The 2024 Bigelow Forum kicked off on Thursday morning where we heard brief introductions from every participant. We then heard from our keynote speaker, Bill Perkins, a Hedge Fund Manager, Film Producer, and author of Die with Zero.
A man who defies categorization, Perkins’ financial acumen has won him many fans with an unconventional approach to investing and life. The hedge fund manager has made plenty of money in a short time, but his philosophy sets him apart from most high net worth players: spend it all before you die…and have fun doing it. Bill took us through the 9 rules he lays out in Die with Zero which we then worked through on Friday in small groups, identifying which rules resonated most with them and why. We came back together for our “Hot Seat” Panel digging further into how participants were now thinking about their lives and if the themes and rules in Die with Zero had influenced them to make some changes.
