What Does It Mean to Live with Intention?

What happens when you gather a community of Entrepreneur Owner-Managers (EOMs) who reject victimhood, embrace personal responsibility, and are radically committed to becoming the fullest version of themselves—both personally and professionally?

You get the 2025 Bigelow Forum.

From the moment Rob MacLeod and Mari Lister welcomed attendees to the Wentworth Ballroom, it was clear that this year’s Forum was more than just an event. It was a catalyst. Built around the pillars of Shared Learnings, Outside Thought Leadership, and Authentic Relationship Building, the 2025 Forum challenged every participant to reexamine how they show up—in their businesses, their families, and their communities.

EOM introductions at the 2025 Bigelow Forum

After powerful EOM introductions on Thursday, we heard from Dan Gilbert, Harvard psychologist and bestselling author of Stumbling on Happiness. Dan’s keynote cracked open our assumptions about how we predict—and mispredict—what will bring us joy, satisfaction, and meaning. His message was clear: the freedom we long for doesn’t come from certainty, but from intentional awareness.

On Friday, that message took tangible form with the official launch of INTENTION: Unlocking the Lifeforce Inside High-Performing Entrepreneurs. Author Pete Worrell walked us through the purpose behind the book—and how it connects to years of conversations and discoveries made at this very Forum. The morning culminated in an EOM Panel on awakening personal, professional, and philanthropic purpose, followed by an intimate discussion about preparation and dedication with a second panel of EOM co-founders in the stages of preparing for a capital gain event.

Throughout the Forum, attendees reconnected with themselves—and each other. They received Oura Rings as a symbolic gift, emphasizing sleep, presence, and long-term healthspan. They contributed testimonials, practiced yoga, joined early-morning walks and breathwork, and shared unfiltered truth in both structured sessions and spontaneous side conversations.

2025 Bigelow Forum Participants connecting

In a world that often prioritizes noise over meaning, the Bigelow Forum remains a space where Entrepreneur Owner-Managers can pause, reflect, and ask the big questions:

What are you optimizing for?

What would it mean to live—and lead—with intention?

This Forum reminded us that success isn’t just about scaling our enterprises. It’s about scaling our awareness, our relationships, and our freedom to be who we truly are.

Lex Fridman Podcast
Episode #458 – Marc Andreessen: Trump, Power, Tech, AI, Immigration & Future of America

How lucky are we to be living in a time where we get to learn from the brightest bulbs on the tree any hour of the day or night, any time we want, through our ear buds through the device we hold in our hand while we are walking the dog at sunrise? Surely, Lex Fridman is one of the brightest bulbs on the tree, and when his podcast guest is Mark Andreesen…well let’s just say we can see the sparks flying out of our iPhones.

I often remark to people that if they want to understand my position (on anything), just listen to Naval Ravikant. And this interview of Andreesen by Fridman is an opportunity for us to witness an “Intelligence Spectacle” where one of the brightest, most driven, most effective, most successful entrepreneurs on the planet answers questions from AI to politics to family and community.

Don’t miss Mark Andreesen on Lex Fridman’s podcast #458.

Entrepreneur Owner-Manager Quote

"I read Enterprise Value and it truly hit home.  I typically gain a couple nuggets of wisdom from each book I read; however, I was a bit overwhelmed by this one.  It seemed that it was written for me.  I had to take a break from it for a bit because I was getting too much information too quickly.  The book has helped me gain a much clearer perspective on what I need to do in the coming years as I prepare for my eventual exit.  While a lot of it was already on my radar, there were a couple very important things that I completely overlooked.  Thank you for sharing it."
